Dear Visitors,
Thank you for seeing my samples. My work consists of mainly landscapes in acrylic, but I do have some pieces in oil, pastel and watercolour of various sizes, plus a few figure paintings, and cityscapes from my travels.
Although most of my work is representational, I have developed a style that is closer to abstract/realism using bold brushstrokes and colour. My work is always evolving to that end, however occasionally I’ll return to painterly realism whenever I feel it fits.
I am a native of Prince Edward County, leaving in 1972 to pursue a BA in Fine Arts at York University and then a career as a layout artist, ad designer and illustrator in Toronto. I returned to the Rednersville Road in 1991 and continued to work as a designer/illustrator and political cartoonist under By the Bay Art Studio.
In the last 15 years I have re-invented myself to become a fine artist and have developed my painting style through several mediums. Today I feel most comfortable using acrylic mediums.
I also continue to draw political cartoons for 2 independent papers in Edmonton.
I have a great variety of subjects to choose from at reasonable prices.
